If you are considering shopping around for refinancing, you can do so without authorizing them to pull a credit report on you. The information you need to know when shopping for a refi does not require a credit report to be pulled. You can get your OWN credit report and use it on an initial basis to indicate to a potential lender what your credit report looks like.
The rest of the information you want will be in the form of interest rates, origination fees, and the like, none of which need to have a credit report pulled to reveal their costs.
That would be an excellent idea. It’s always good to know where you sit going in.
If you apply at several lenders for the same type of loan product over a short period of time, the multiple inquiries will be treated as a single inquiry and will not adverseley affect your credit score. (Your own inquiries will not affect your score no matter how many times you pull your own file.)
If you’re shopping for a loan, the first mortgage company to pull your credit is able to give a copy of that credit report to any other lenders you consult for a loan if you give them permission to do so.
Let one lender pull it and shop the loan; you can still get a good rate even though they are going up. I suggest Hometown Banc Corp. They may be your best opportunity for someone to say yes. If your credit does not measure up, they don’t simply “forget to call you back.” They help you get into a credit repair program you can afford regardless of income. Check out the free evaluation form at the source website and a Hometown loan officer will contact you .
