You would be in a much better position if it had been you to inform the police about what was going on, so then you would be a witness and not a suspect. Since it is too late for that, you need to talk to an attorney about coming forward and testifying as to what you know, because if you do not and they learn you lived there, they may try to charge you. Then instead of being seen as an innocent witness trying to do the right thing, they will see you as an accomplice trying to help him hide his guilt, or at least trying to hide your own involvement. Definately contact a lawyer FIRST though, as if you say the wrong thing without a lawyer, they can use it against you. Talk to a lawyer. On the positive if you are not the landowner you are ok although depending on what the lease says you could be in some trouble. If the lease says you assume responsibility for what happens on the property the land owner and courts can hold you responsible even if you were unaware.
